Open Studios + 'Not Your Usual' Exhibition, May 31st

Join Creative Exchange for a relaxed open studio Sunday afternoon on May 31st alongside Not Your Usual — a mini exhibition showcasing unexpected, experimental and lesser-seen works by our studio artists.

Presented in the newly upgraded foyer showcase space*, the exhibition invites our members to share work that sits slightly outside their usual practice: new directions, off-shoots, different materials, playful experiments or creative risks. Small in scale but broad in approach, Not Your Usual offers a peak at the ideas and explorations that happen behind the studio doors.

Opening the exhibition, we invite visitors to join us for Coffee, Art & Chats from 11am - an informal opportunity for those with an interest in contemporary art to meet the artists, ask questions and engage in conversation about their work and processes ahead of our main Open Studio event, which coincides with the ever-popular East Bloc Bazaar market. The exhibition will remain on view by appointment throughout the following week and will reopen as part of the city’s Late Night Art programme on Thursday 4 June, 5–8pm.
