CREATIVE EXCHANGE IS HIRING


Creative Exchange is at an exciting development stage and we are keen to pilot a number of new initiatives for artists and arts engagement in the wider community. We are working in partnership with several other organisations to extend our programme in East Belfast and beyond.

Located at Portview on the Newtownards Road, Belfast, we want you to work with our studio manager to help us deliver a pilot programme of events and activities, working with artists, funders and members of the public to increase the sustainability of Creative Exchange.


We are looking for someone who meets the following Essential Criteria


  • a relevant Honours degree (visual arts preferable)

  • 2 years proven experience of working in the visual arts sector (within the last 5 years)

  • 2 years proven experience in organising and managing public arts events and workshops

  • 1 year proven experience in developing ideas for income generation in the creative arts sector

  • competency in developing promotional content on a range of social media platforms and compatible software, website development and written communication


Desirable Criteria

  • proven experience of applying for and successfully obtaining funding for arts organisations within the last 5 years

  • proven experience of working for an artist studio group



We will need you to be able to dedicate 10 hours per week to the role with some flexibility as to how and when these hours are delivered but that is likely to include usual daytime hours and some evenings. We will pay £16 an hour on a self-employed basis (you will be responsible for your own tax and NI contributions). The initial contract will be for 52 weeks from your start date in the role, with the opportunity to extend the contract beyond this period, subject to funding.
